Drone Guarder Inc (OTCMKTS:DRNG) has been getting quite a bit of scrutiny as its share price continues to steadily climb. With very little news, the price has gone from $0.01 to just below $0.9. The company has been through some ups and downs, but refocused their business on drone security a few years ago. Now, DRNG is developing a smartphone application that enables users to control a drone in order to obtain real-time protection of someone’s house. This app is still being developed. However, the share price is exploding on no real news, besides a new CEO hire, which should not raise this level of volume – almost 8k. Investors should be aware and leery of this heightened volatility.
The promise of the drone sector is undeniable. Drones are ubiquitous now. They deliver mail, double as speed cameras and act as leisure toys for children. But, it is important for investors to do their research and not plunge into any hot stock.
Drone Guarder Inc (OTCMKTS:DRNG) foray into the sector is as an early stage security and surveillance company focusing on commercializing a drone-enhanced home security system as a turnkey solution. The solution is app-based and includes a drone, infrared camera, and Android mobile app component: Once an alarm has been triggered, the DroneGuarder™ will immediately take off from a wireless charging pad.

The drone flies to the source of the disturbance and based on the users discretion can be tagged as a false alarm or the drone can snap pictures of the intruder. In addition, the drone has a speaker, so you can attempt to scare of the suspected burglar.
According to company documents, the security system in total is based on 3 components:
- A powerful mobile app with control, monitoring, and alert systems.
- Sound and motion sensors installed at the users’ home.
- The physical drone itself: DJI’s Mavic Pro, a small drone equipped with high-performing 1080p cameras.
The DJI Mavic Pro has a flight time of 27 minutes, you can keep an eye on its battery level, status and remaining flight time through the app. The security services retails for $8.99 a month or $79.99 for a year.
Besides the information on the company website, DRNG did release press about hiring Adam Taylor, its new CEO. According to the press, the company is quoted as saying:
