As noted above, ACBFF just announced that it has completed its previously announced distribution of Australis shares and warrants. In all, traders will note 52% during the past month in terms of shareholder gains in the company, but this action is running counter to the larger trend in the name. Moreover, the company has seen a growing influx of trading interest, with the stock’s recent average trading volume running a bit over 370% above its longer-run average levels.
“With the completion of this distribution we have delivered an immediate return of capital to Aurora shareholders while enabling the Australis team to proceed with their mandate to invest in U.S. cannabis assets with high growth potential,” said Terry Booth, CEO of Aurora. “Australis’ management, board of directors and investment committee are well positioned to leverage their collective knowledge and extensive experiences to rapidly execute on the tremendous opportunity ahead to generate substantial long-term shareholder value.”
At this time, carrying a capital value in the market of $9.14B, ACBFF has a significant war chest ($289.1M) of cash on the books, which is balanced by about $56.1M in total current liabilities. ACBFF is pulling in trailing 12-month revenues of $42M. In addition, the company is seeing major top-line growth, with y/y quarterly revenues growing at 211.1%.
