We often find that protracted and narrowing lateral consolidations within the context of longer-term upward trends offer some of the most interesting opportunities, and KushCo Holdings Inc (OTCMKTS:KSHB) appears to be a strong case in point at the moment. To help flesh the matter out, the company just announced it has signed a long-term development and distribution agreement with IEKO Corporation, for the production of compostable and biodegradable packaging products for use in the cannabis and CBD industries.
According to the release, “Pursuant to the agreement, IEKO will work with KushCo to develop formulations and products designed for the unique demands of the cannabis and CBD industries, while ensuring that all new products are environmentally friendly by featuring proprietary, biodegradable materials from renewable resources. All packaging solutions produced under the agreement will be tested using ASTM and BPI standards to guarantee proper certification. Additionally, IEKO will provide dedicated research and development, quality control and account management personnel.”

As noted above, KSHB just announced it has signed a long-term development and distribution agreement with IEKO Corporation, for the production of compostable and biodegradable packaging products for use in the cannabis and CBD industries.
That comes in a context of recent action that hasn’t been particularly fun for KSHB shareholders. Over the past five days of action, shares of the stock have suffered from clear selling pressure, dropping by roughly -5%. Furthermore, the stock has seen a growing influx of trading interest, with the stock’s recent average trading volume running 7% beyond what we have been seeing over the larger time frame.

Now commanding a market cap of $491.99M, KSHB has a significant war chest ($3M) of cash on the books, which compares with about $19.5M in total current liabilities. One should also note that debt has been growing over recent quarters. KSHB is pulling in trailing 12-month revenues of $68.5M.
